Pic #1 This ones for Ovidio we had a reasonably fine day Sunday and my 1199S Tricolore has not been on the black top for about 3 weeks, so off with the covers and disc lock.
I only took it to Bunbury which is 28 kays one way this is because on this bike I need to keep the klm's down on it as its getting to 11,000Klm.
I got it when it had only 1500 on it 18 months ago.

On another note I have not had my V4S (2018 model) for the last 3 weeks as it has been in having major surgery with the dreaded 24000Klm desmo service.
They found one tight valve on the inlet side front cylinder Rt side which was the worst one to get to it was only just tight but they did it to be sure instead of leaving it.
So whilst the bike was in this state of undress I purchased the Akropovic full titanium race system/race air filter/Ducati up/mapped to be fitted at the same time.
So what will this do to the bike well it goes from 195Kgs wet weight to 189.5Kgs, Crank horse power 214Hp to 226.84Hp Torque from 124Nm to 131.43Nm.
This gives it a power to weight ratio of 1.19 Horse power per Kilogram
The up map from Ducati frees up the power delivery and changes all your settings in the computer for wheelie control, slide control, traction control etc.
You then go into the settings and adjust all of them to suit the new configuration of the bike as it will be a bit different.
We are hoping that the changes will see it putting maybe 200 - 205Hp at the back wheel but we will see!

I started riding my fat girl California a few days ago, and like it soooooo easy...

A friend of mine has 2 or 3 of those Harley's - trying to figure out what real rifle fits into the SA80 scabbard...

...and the Rotax engine insists it's a real Harley by dumping fluids on the floor...

Great little runarounds. Mine was the one I used at Rheindallen as the camp RSM and I found it easier to turnup at places that noone expected me to.
When I bought it on sale, it had only done 5521 kilometres on the clock, so (touch wood) no oil around mine which I have kept immaculate since acquisition!
Never got an SA80 to comfortably fit into the gun box. Its a real pain to cock your leg over it especially at my age, but heyho...........it does look great, even though it only holds a lock and chain for balance!!
Love it, and nice not to be doing 100 + anymore, with the concentration span of a space pilot trying to land on an H on the moon!!

Our baby 'Blade on the other end of the spectrum here is the dyno chart from my CBR 250RR 1990 model its pretty ferocious-----------! Its the old adage better to have it and not use it than not have it at all. I can attest that at times I have had to use my Dukes pickup speed and handling to get away or deviate from mobile lounge room operators who are blind to motor cycle riders. The eventual plan is to shelve the rockets and get a multi-strada.

Yep lost mates back in the '70's in Perth due to poor bike performances brakes or tyres and the rider getting in over their heads.
I have had prangs and hit wildlife on my bikes, threw my Z900 away due to a stupid pedestrian going against a Dont Walk sign, been hit by a woman car driver that did not stop at a stop sign luckily I threw the bike away lest she T bone us, lost heaps of bark, severely concussed and so on but the worst prangs I had was on the dirt including a head on where the other guy was on the wrong side of the track.

I forgot to add the before picture of how we brought the 250RR and its subsequent improvement infact the workshop pointed out the front spacer's on the axle were a bodge up job and quite dangerous misaligning the disc to the callipers they had a new one fabbed up.

Wow, as much as 50 eh.....that was flat out (and downhill, with the wind behind) on my old 1940 BSA WD-M20 I had back in the 1990's...

Cinders, while I can appreciate the engineering in the new Ducati's; it's too much power for me. I'm not brave enough to use it all!
I had a 900 Superlight with a few mod's that was quick enough for me. also had a Honda CBR400RR which I used for track days in Dubai. That was a great little bike for learning the track without scaring yourself stupid!
These days I still have an XT500, a 1973 Z1 (in bits) and a 95 Triumph Speed Triple.

Always wanted to try a Speed Triple, but never got the opportunity.
I'll wait for the next open day at Triumph.
