    Type 30

    Hi,
I am looking for a complete bolt for an Arisakaicon Type 30. The BAD - The gun has been cut, restocked and refinished. The GOOD - It was done by nicely someone other than Bubba on his kitchen table. Thought it wood make a nice deer rifle if I can find the bolt.
    Thanks,
    Ken

You sure it's a Type 30? Hook safety? If so, best bet is probably eBay. I see parts on there occasionally.

If it a Type-30 you will have trouble making it shoot well enough to hunt deer . A T-30 will have a .270 + groove barrel and most 6.5mm J ammo will start to tumble at 50 yards when shot in it . Also you need to check your rifle's bore as many T-30 rifles were smooth bored to make trainers . I have seen many of those that were sportered by not to bright people , you would think that they would have noticed they had no rifling before cutting up the rifle .
