New to M1903 and looking to buy. Is this one a good purchase?

I am sending one back that I bought with a faked receiver and I want to be sure that I get one worth buying. Looking to get a high number M1903 A1 or Mark I. I plan on shooting it and this will not be a display piece. Looking at Gun Broker (which is where the counterfeit one came from):

Any of these look ok? At least the receivers look correct on these compared to the last one I bought. I would prefer an older stock (C-stock is fine, just don't want a stock newer than a WWII rebuild), but I am totally fine with a WWII era barrel and ones that have been rebuilt by armories.

Looks to me like the first one you listed will be the best shooter of the three. The others have corrosion in the barrels that might effect accuracy, If I was choosing between those 3 it would be number one for me...hope that helps

I would get with the seller about the bore/muzzle interior condition on the one with the S marked scant stock/sling.
Looks like to have been wet at the butt and MZ top right but maybe that would scare some off.
Could be good for you if it doesn't go out of sight during bidding. You might be able to land it reasonably well off.

dont worry about low numbers, the whole "low numbers are a bomb waiting to happen" is utter bull. there is very little truth to it, and has been shown to be more of an issue with out of spec ammo during the war. If ur using proper ammo, you can shoot early number all day

I like the first one to make a shooter out of, but it's a parts queen and the price does not reflect that. But that is the going rate for the times we live in, even the parts queens are getting top dollar. If you're looking for something to collect, or to shoot and collect, I would move on and continue being patient.
the only one of the 3 with bids as I type is also the only one where the price is at "reasonable" by todays frantic buying standards, and it already has a replacement barrel on it. I'd say go for it. a new barrel, or a better condition used one, can be easily had, and won't detract from it's value in the least.
