    Molle Universal Pistol Holster

My Super B needed a new home as the Argentineicon holster it was residing in bailed in favor of an Argentine Molina. Spanish holsters all seem to have been thrown out and burned as they don't seem to exist.

So the nearby surplus store had these for $5. It's used but not heavily. I "think" I have it set up correctly but if someone in the know can look at it and let me know otherwise I'd appreciate it.

When I first put it in, it was loose and the upper half wanted to slide out the opening even with the strap in place. It wouldn't fall out but it had and inch of play in it for sure. Now it sits in nice and tight. I totally unwrapped it and re-wrapped it around this pistol.

I now need a two magazine pouch that hopefully will fit onto this nicely. Looks like one will as there are strap like things on the lower portion. Can't seem to find one in the same camo however and sadly they are about three times what I paid for the holster.

So would a 1911 45 magazine fit in a pouch designed for a double stacked 9mm? It would seem to me that it would. These are actually 9mm Largo magazines so a bit narrower than a 1911 45.

Never mind, I answered my own question with a home experiment.

A 9mm Largo magazine will fit into a canvas US military 45 pouch. They are essentially the same size if circumference is measured. A double stack 9mm Beretta magazine will not exactly fit. It will start and if I shove hard it probably would go in but it is very tight. So a Largo magazine should fit inside a 9mm pouch. It is about a quarter inch shorter also so length is not an issue.

Found single pouches that I believe will work.

You are not kidding. I'd tear it down and photograph it but I doubt I could get it back to where it is. Took me four attempts to get it to properly fit the pistol. It is one huge mass of Velcro and I'm not kidding on that. Almost all surfaces are Velcro. The bottom folds up much like a diaper. Some sections of it have Velcro on both sides and the straps are double side Velcro where they go down into the bottom.

I can see this holster being some drill sergeants version of hell. Disassemble it and put it back together in five minutes while being blindfolded. One I picked out of the bin and didn't buy was full of sand so nightmare for inspections also. Who needs a white glove when you can just rip away some Velcro LOL.
