Comment: Absolutely Pristine Jungle Carbine package. Only one third of No 5s were Shirley, and this is 1947 the last year of production, which was wound back so far less were made that year. It is as new with beautiful furniture, marked 47A and broad arrow in several places. Comes with 1946 Poole bayonet scabbard and 1945 frog that matches the new old stock sling. Poole made an unknown very small quantity over only two years. WSC made 188 thousand. One just went for $860 on Ebay. Also included in original canvas valise and cleaning kit! This is a heavy canvas unlike the lightweight ME&Co that you see regularly. This one came with the rifle and is the only one I have seen. Cleaning kit is original (with the gauze) and fetches $200 id you can find one. I've done all the work, and don't want to sell, but have as usual over extended elsewhere and something needs to go. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. Email for more high res photos.

I had them as new, well used and everything in between. I think I've had a bit over 25 of them...and wouldn't even consider that. To me a grand is far too much...even as new.
    Regards, Jim

If price was in Krona it would be closer to reality.

Sounds like what I’m looking for if it was in the US, buuuut $6000 aud is about $4667 usd so “a bit pricy” is an understatement!

I just paid $525 for mine which I would say is in very good condition with the only real negative being that the bolt serial number doesn't match the receiver serial number (it does appear to have a No 5 serial number on it). It ain't pristine but it is a lot nicer than what I thought I was going to be able to afford!
