1895 Chilean Mauser with 1896 Swedish sights

I picked up an 1895 Chileanicon Mauser that had been sporterized. I'm not very familiar with Mausers but I was wanting to restore it. I have discovered that it is in a Swedishicon 1896 cutdown stock and the front and rear sights are Swedish as well. I've located everything I need except for the front sight. Assuming the front sight I have is an 1896 Swedish one (it has the Crown, is marked 0. on the side and the blade has -0.5). It looks shorter than the sight on my other 1895. Is there anyway to make this work of is it better to sell it and buy the correct one? Would front sights from any other Mausers work as a substitute? Thanks
