A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. At least the FJA is not originally applied. Look how off the F is.

The J looks a bit different than on the 03A3 I had, but the spacing is close to the same. - Bob

The bend and milling in the bolt handle does not look right, or like those I've seen. And, although the original bases came from Redfield, I believe they were unmarked? The receiver may be the real deal. I've seen several posts here and elswhere of people finding nice sporters with A4 receivers.

I also just pulled a Remington M1903 and a 1903a3 from my safe with a "2" in their serial. The bottom of the 2's are each straight, and not wavy like the serial of this rifle.

Only about 5 hrs. left and it's up to nearly $5700. How high will it go? - Bob

And...we're of the opinion that someone paid for a lesson in being more careful?

I'm tempted to collect bets on how long it takes before buyer posts here asking about the quality of their purchase.
