Value of No7 RAF

I was offered this No7 RAF and I was wondering if there is any glaring things wrong with it and what the value is in America? Any help would be appreciated.

Difficult to be sure but it looks 'OK'.

I have heard that they actually fetch more in the US.

RIFLE No.7 Mk I
Although a No.7 Mk I, the British version is very different from it's Canadian counterpart (above). This rifle was a conversion of an existing No.4 and is interesting in that a BSA five-round commercial .22 magazine was welded into a SMLE Mk III* magazine to produce the only Enfield .22 repeater. These rifles were a special contract and produced exclusively for the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1948. Total production 2,500.

I believe that whilst 2500 were manufactured only around 2000 were actually assembled. The remaining 'parts' were sold off at auction and bought by a number of dealers - Brian Dick (BDL Ltd) had some and had to have parts made to finish them (ejectors bolts etc).

I guess due to the rarity it may be difficult to get a 'market price'

From the photos it looks complete and correct.
Close up photos from all angles of the bolt head; a photo of the extractor; a photo of the rear sight would all be useful. And you could ask for a video clip showing ammo feeds from the magazine and extracts as it should.
re: Price - I concur with Alan de E; in the UK it'd fetch over £2000.

This is an outdated price, but the last time I saw one for sale, complete and in great shape, sold for $2100 back in 2014. Haven't seen one for sale since that time.

Thank you guys. It was offered to me for 2000€ which is $2460 after conversion fee. Then a little less than $300 to import. So $2750 total or about 1,950£ all in.

Well, while that seems rather spendy, you may never see another one again. I bought mine back in the mid 90's. I have only seen one other complete rifle for sale (the 2014 sale). I have seen a handful of others missing extractors, bolt heads, magazines, ejectors, etc. These bring substantially less, and you will drive yourself mad trying to locate these missing components.

I dont want to get you in money trouble. While that price may seem excessive, you may never see one again. One venerated forum member on this forum once wrote, "... while it may seem pricey now, they're not making any new ones."

This forum is a wealth of information and advice. The search function has helped me on several occassions.

I wonder who (or what) "Wagner Trier" is ?
Certainly not a standard BSA No7 marking.

Maybe an owner or importer, as the only reference I can find to "Wagner Trier" is that it is a German Chamber of Commerce.

I nearly posted a question asking if this rifle had been to Germany before it went to the US. An outfit called Wagner, based in Trier????
