Thank You and The Forum Members

Recently I posted a WTB:, one of the forum members took it upon himself to help me with an SKS magazine for the rifle I have been putting together as a shooter for my Stepson. His generosity and kindness is appreciated and I know that my stepson will be thankful as well once I present him the rifle and tell him of the people who made it happen.

He and many more of you are perfect examples of why I love this forum. I am still somewhat new having only been a member since May of 2017, but from day one all of you made me feel like one of the group.

That’s not to say I was not apprehensive at first, I lurked more than anything just because other forums had made me skittish in posting for fear of being flamed for something I may write in error. But, it did not take long to feel at home here on MILSURPS.

I apricated all of the collective knowledge the forum members are willing to share, the help you all are willing the give, and the feeling of comradery; not quite but almost, as we shared in the service.

    Thank you !

This place is the best. I frequent Facebook and belong to numerous military surplus pages. They are filled with know at alls that frankly don't know ****. Some do but it's really difficult to figure out which ones do because you get flamed for the stupidest stuff on them. And then there's the 500 beans and weenies instead of $500 because they fear the Facebook police. And cover all the "evil" symbols. The better groups are the ones with fewer members and more obscure topics. The helmet group is pretty good as is the munitions group. The others go down hill pretty quick.
