Is this 1903 a National Match rifle?

Recently acquired this 1903 barreled receiver. Was told by someone I regard as an expert that it's a 1920 National Match rifle. it's not listed in the SRS. The ser# is 1196717. Barrel is dated 5-20. The bolt is polished and stamped J6. The rails and follower are polished. The trigger is checkered at the tip. It has been drilled and tapped for a Lyman 48S receiver sight. I'm new to 1903's and no where near qualified to make any call. Been doing my due diligence as far as research and nothing I can find is telling me it isn't a National Match rifle. Opinions appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. You're not the first person to say that. I've contacted Mr Beard. It is indeed a NM rifle. I feel like I just hit the lottery.

Yes it is a NM rifle. However, the rear sight base was removed. Make sure you buy the correct one for restoring this rifle. Also the stock should be a finger groove dual lug stock with DAL acceptance.

Thanks much for the information. I'm told it was most likely used in the 1924 National Matches at Camp Perry. Does this mean it likely sat in a armory somewhere from 1920 until 1924?

Springfield Armory rebuilt the NM rifles after they were used in the National Matches each year. Competitors could draw
at rifle at the matches and turn it in at the end of the matches. As I understand it the user could buy the rifle or it
would be used again and again at the matches. I have a NM 1903 that was sold in 1931 but has a much earlier
receiver.
