What font was used for stencils for WW2 Canadian Kit

Does anyone know what the name of the font is that the Canadians used during WW2 for stencilling letters on equipment - like for example the canvas scope case shown here? Is there a website where I can download it?

Try this page out. Font type is New Times Roman but lots of variations. You can also type 1940 font types in google search.
