    M1 Garand Question

I'm new to the forum. This has probably been beat to death somewhere here on the forum, but I can't find it anywhere...
Q- If you swap a 6.5 CM barrel onto a Garandicon with a 308 barrel do you have to change another parts. I know about headspace, just don't know about any other parts changes.
    Thx. for any help.

    It ain't over.

There were no parts swapped to change over to .308, just a spacer added so .30 cal ammo wouldn't fit. This should work the same. It's even shorter than .308.
