    1894 Norwegian Krag

    Hello everyone,

I have had this Norwegianicon Kragicon for a little while now and I have been looking for the cleaning rod/stacking rod that is missing. Have any of you found a place or know of a way of getting my hands on one. I have scoured Ebay and all the parts sites that I know of. Hell I even learned a little Norwegian and started searching on Norwegian sites. All to no avail. Im not holding out much hope here but figured its worth a try. Pictures for your enjoyment. This is by far my favorite Krag I own. Better than my US krags in my opinion. Also, if you know of a place to find a sling that would be amazing as well. Found a couple of sling components on the Norwegian sites but they were already sold by the time I got in contact. Just my luck. Any help you can offer would be amazing thanks.

Update: I have found all missing parts for the rifle to include the stacking rod, bayonet, front sling/stacking band, and sling. Only cost me my soul for all of it but it was worth it.

My dad inherited a Sporter Norwegianicon krag and I feel your pain. My great uncle reblued it some point but I would still like to get a proper stock on it at some point.

I did see a repro stock earlier this year for around 400or so.

I actually seen an original one on ebay a few months ago for about $400 as well. Finding stuff for these had been a challenge but I have located the front barrel band and the cleaning rod I needed. I did find a sling but was not willing to pay near $200 for it so this one may never have a correct original sling unless I find one cheaper one day. But, ebay seems to be the place to find this stuff. Just save a search and when it pops up you will be notified. That is what I did.

I am in the process of selling off all my AK furniture to get money as I move towards milsurp needs.
I will likely have to sell off my arisaka at some point as well but we shall see.

Top priority for now is Enfield wood for my new no4mk1*.

Unfortunately there is a big difference between the no4mk1 and no4mk2 fore end which requires a fair amount of wood work to make work. Thanks for the info though. I have found 1...and I mean 1 at another site but I posted on here and I'm hoping it works out here.

No problem. Sorry I didn't pay attention to them only having the mk 2 stocks.
