    Type 44 No Series Matching

I recently acquired an early, no series Arisakaicon type 44. The mum is untouched. It is all matching, bayonet button, bayonet, sight base, sight ladder, magazine plate, firing pin, bolt, bolt release. Anything I am overlooking? However, the hook has been sawed off. Should I order a reproduction hook and replace it or just leave as it is? I am speaking of the hook toward the end of the barrel.

If this was mine, I’d probably get a repo hook. Originals have to be scavenged from another assembly and those usually cost upwards of $300. Contact Don Schlickman, he may be able to help you out.
