Question about Irwin-Pedersen slides for rki

I have seen slides commonly marked with the number 2 on the left side. Recently, I saw one marked with the letter A. Using letters was common for S'G' slides.

Is there a serial number range for Irwin-Pedersens that have slides marked with A on the side?

Not sure if there was a serial range or they were just mixed use with those markings. CCNL 374 says "some IP E279 slides were marked with an A or 2 on the left side and some S'G' E279 slides were marked with an A, B, C or D on the left side".

Wayne: This doesn't answer the OP's question, but my S'G' 1,829,XXX with an E-279 S'G' Op Slide is marked J on the left side. Is your quote from the CCNL in reference just to S'G' slides found in IP's or also to those used in S'G' Carbines? - Bob
