    Small Ordnance Wheel

I know some WW2 stocks had the small ordnance wheel stamped on the bottom of the pistol grip. I have seen unsanded stocks that have the small wheel but have no P proof or cartouche. I have been told that they are WW2 spare stocks. Did they discontinue the small wheel stamp at the end of WW2 or did it continue for some time on spare stocks manufactured in the late 40's ?

Around 1,800,000 the 3/16 Stamp was applied to the pistol grip

I disagree and have found the small Grip cannons come in pretty close to the flat clip latch use. I have found that to be closer to 1,200,000. As to the original question yes I have seen these used later than WWII and very well may have been continued in the stock department for awhile. Rick Bicon
