Agree, and just because you have a carbine with a stock that has a rebuild mark, it does not prove that particular carbine was even in that stock when the rebuild arsenal marking was applied. There are lots of stocks out there for sale with arsenal stamps.

Probably need to re-stock it once I found a suitable stock for it. It looks like it was sanded pretty heavily also.

The Winchester: Type 3 sight could be original to a 5.6 . Stock looks to be cracked and the screws are cute. What is going on behind the slide in the receiver under the sight area? NPM late handguard, late slide. I'm a fan of NPM wonder what the barrel is?

I'd like the SG but they all are just Vin ordinaire. I don't see them going much beyond the $800 level even out here in Union of Sovieticon Calif.

It is a Saginaw SG (3.3) that appears to be in pretty good shape and in Type 1 configuration (see attached photos). I had the following questions:

    1. Which if these 3 would be best in a collection ? (I already have an Underwood, Inland and Standard Products)

    2. Based upon the photos, does the Saginaw appear to be the real deal (correct stampings, etc.)?

Price is not an issue as I expect each of these to sell in the range of a $1,000 to $1,500. I can only afford one (its my Christmas present this year).

I truly appreciate everyone's advice and recommendations. Thanks!

    Hey Singer,
    I would take the Saginaw.

    Hey Bill,
    Why Saginaw is your favorite?

The Saginaw is the frontrunner right now. I should know on Satursay if I was lucky enough to get one of the three.

Didnt get any of them. I had to take the wife to the doctor so I missed the auction. Too bad too since the Winchester went at 900, the Saginaw at 1600 and the NPM at 1000.

Like I said earlier, those Saginaws draw bigger money in my area.
