A while ago I posted a small survival knife (Left one in main pic) that was part of our SASR's emergency kit make up these were made by AKC knives.
These were designed by Bob Cooper who is a survival expert and was instructing the SASR members on off the land survival techniques.

The one on the left you cannot get anymore and they command a good price when they come up for sale if you can get one for under a couple of hundred bucks grab it.
The successor to the Cooper one is the Spencer (Right one) which has more of a tanto design about it they are both 100mm long.
The tanto designed one has had the thumb hole removed as the dagger pointed one sports in its design which has its merits.
They both have eyelets for para-cording onto sticks to make a spear, are made from S/Steel both fit into the hand very well.

They could if pushed be used offensively if the SASR member was only left with that say for striking the Carotid or Axillery artery as the blade length is very short for stabbing deeply.
I do not know if the 2nd type is still supplied to the SASR but should imagine it would be as a last ditch got nothing survival tool.
