Need ID- 98 Mauser barrel makers or inspection mark

Need ID on a makers or inspection mark on an 8MM 98 Mauser barrel. Has several of these marks on the barrel, rear sight base and front sight base. No other markings or WWII Germanicon marks found. Symbol looks like a bird in a circle. Thx.

Not that it helps a lot, but I think that the symbol is a bee. Seen it somewhere, no idea where!

That seems to be a Mauser marking that shows up from time to time.
I have virtually the same marking on the frame of my 1944 Mauser made P38.
It's reminiscent of the "Bug" proofs used on pre-WWI Mauser made Lugers.
It has been implied on another forum that marking was applied to items that failed inspection but were corrected and cleared for use.
I have no way to prove or disprove that statement.
This stamping is located in the channel for the hammer above the grip on the frame.
