An emergency call for Gil Boyd

    Evening all,

Having watched the incredible thrills and spills regarding the absolutely original (honest gov, nothing to see here, move along please) 1975 dated L42A1, I was horrified to find out that our dear friend Gil Boyd has been diagnosed with over inflation syndrome.

Not only that, but he apparently lacks any substance, might I suggest we buy both a pump and large pin to cover both extremes of this alarming condition..

Many thanks to the perpetually angry Mark Thorpe for his diagnosis...

Did I miss something? I read that thread this morning, not because I know anything about L42's nor cared beyond always enjoying seeing pictures, but because a locked thread always means there is something juicy going on right

Poor Mr. Gil...A guy makes a couple posts, his 2 cents to steer clear, some comments about serial numbers on a list, and then ends with a "bag of nails" poke (post #27)...pretty harmless jab - not like "coward" or "insert string of explicatives and insult for mom". Heck...if someone called me a bag of nails I might smile politely thinking it's a compliment of my steadfast character.
Seriously, is that all it takes on the other side of the pond to get everyone all worked up? I don't know they guy, or anyone else here personally - but unless some people have some serious off-line grudges the rest of us don't know about...maybe we can be a bit less juvenile?

Poor Mr. Thorpe...they guy creates an account just to toss his 2 cents in, only to get banned right away?...breaking the rules with deleted insults notwithstanding.

The problem with placing reputations first is that they inevitably get higher priority than facts. Walk away folks.
