making scope mounts for Model 1903 conversion to 22 RF

A few years ago I bought one of the CMPicon low numbered barreled actions with a burned out bore for $100.00. I had a man in South Carolina install a quality rim fire liner with extended breech to fit the M2 bolt. I bought a M2 bolt with headspace adjustments.

I wanted to make a mount without drilling the receiver so that I could install this barrel in another 1903 if desired and the mount and scope would go with the package. I am starting to test fire this combination and it looks very good. this is a solid mount for the 22 rim fire, also had to make a taller front scope block. Scope is pre war Lyman 438 that was restored by Iron Sight

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail.
