    I would still post it. I recently had a Type 38 brought to me with a very malleable canvas sling attached. I thought "no way, the originals are always stiff" but sure enough, I posted photos here and they resulted in confirmation it was real. Needless to say, the owner is pretty happy (and now his gun works so he is super happy)
