I know BSA sold small batches rifles to various foreign countries, India, Jamaica etc.

I would find it slightly odd that BSA were paid less per rifle, considering ROF Enfield were a government owned factory.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen a BSA example younger than 1963, possibly 1964...

    BSA example younger than 1963?

Are you referring to the more recent straight pull conversions John?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Morning David, sorry I didn't explain it well, I meant to say I haven't seen a BSA example with a manufacturer date past 1963 (possibly 1964).

    BSA production 1958 - 63???
