A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. A training session?

Look at the row of kneeling, medic in the middle, two with their backs -al paying attention it seems to the medic. Overturned stripped vehicle with cargo strewn around. Lessons to be learnt.

I thought the same thing but it happened long before this gathering. All 4 tires were "removed" from that jeep. I'd say maybe "hey fellas, this is as good as any spot to stop" kind of deal.

I agree with BAR. Top center is a GI with a metal detector. The rear axle alignment suggest a mine/IED etc.
Is it a JEEP? Center crossmember looks different.

Yep, it's a jeep, a Willys MB as best I can tell.
