    Post Slow Down

I enjoy looking and sometimes buying things from the WTS forum. In the transition from Old Joustericon to here there has been a major slow down of parts and rifles for sale. Is it because some members don't know that it is at the bottom of the Jouster's CSP Forums page? Or did we lose that many viewers in the move? I for one have had very good success buying parts and rifles from that forum. I'm hoping things pick up there in the future.

    Hi Jeff ...

Not sure about the placement of the forums, but in empirical data terms comparing the web analytics in the last week of operations of the old Joustericon forums against the new CSP forums here, all metrics are up over 30%, including concurrent on-line members, members who visited in last 24 hours, post count and duration of stay to name a few. In fact, some measures are up 50%.....

I'm not sure what else could be the cause, other than the deterioration in the server metrics in the last two months of Jousters existence was dramatic, most likely due to the spam and server degradation. So, perhaps your comparisons and observations reflect impressions before that declining process began and the data is skewed wrong to do any meaningful comparisons for a while yet.

We're open to suggestions to improve the metrics further.

Hope that helps the analysis ...

    Regards,
    Badger

    Badger thanks for repling.

In my comparisons I was thinking in the terms of the past years up to maybe 6 months ago. Do you think moving the link to the top would help? I have just always liked going to the wts forum to look for things I was in the market for and look around. It's just not getting the posts as in the past it seems to me.

I have no way to back this up, but it always seemed to me that majority of
individuals who visited the old CSPicon Shopper, visited the Shopper only.
Much like Sturm. When the plug was pulled, they didn't know everything was
    moved over here.

    You could be right....

Let me ask Gloria for permission to test that idea...

    That's possible.

There may have been a lot of garage and basement dealers getting a lot of sales out of the WTS forum on the old Joustericon, without actually having any interest in participating in the community itself.

I've got a pile of stuff to sell, just have'nt found the time to sort it all out and price it. I'll get to it,eventually.
As for available stuff and ads from others,it seems to be down all over, not just here.

I think the same thing, its fairly slow everywhere....

which for this time of year surprises me. It always seems to be a little slower in the summer when everyone is shooting. Only gunboards seems to still have a bunch of stuff daily, unfortuately most of which is not interesting to me but obviously is to many others.

Even the posts on the M1icon forum seem to be pretty slow these last couple of months.

Now that I am getting used to this site it is pretty nice and I am sure happy we have a home.
