    Type 99 Naval Trainer?

I was over at a friends and he wanted me to look at a rifle. Best I can tell it’s a last ditch Naval trainer or is a special. I don’t have any books because I’m headed to Louisville. Can anyone decipher what the stock says. Bolt handle and firing pin match letters, no numbers. I couldn’t tell if the safety or extractor match as they didn’t have any marks that I could find. The receiver appears to be cast and does not have any serial or makers marks or they were obliterated. Otherwise the rifle is all there except no cleaning rod. Any comments would be appreciated. Regards.

Agree, this is a Naval trainer. If you post the picture of the stock with Kanji on Reddit r/translator, someone may be able to translate it for you.
