    That's excellent (and quite rare!) if so......sounds like an excellent buy

    Still ranks as one of the most fun vehicles I've ever driven....I've had some great fun at the wheel of several of them.
    Just the thing for putting round holes in square heads.

    It's 6 volt system. (24 volt would be the Frenchicon Hotchkiss Jeep)
    I intend to keep it 6 volt; despite many people telling me that modifying it to 12volts make it easier to live with.
    If they don't work with 6 volt it would not have been so successful in WW2.
    It just needs proper maintenance and excellent ground connections and cables to ensure the current get's through.
    Fitted new spark plugs and replaced a cracked bowl on the fuel pump on Saturday, so it's now pumping fuel up to the carb properly.
    When cranking it was firing now but not starting; probably due to slight over advance of the ignition. I've not checked that yet but expect it to fire up ok with slightly more retarded ignition timing.
    I'll keep you up to date with progress.

    You will probably come around to 12V in time. Finding 6V stuff eventually is just too expensive and difficult to find.

    I watched a few of the videos on the G503.com site.
    They are some of the best instructional video's that I've ever seen.
    Very clear and precise; obviously know their stuff!
