K98 with Sun surrounded by a circle and 29 underneath stamp.

Any input on this stamp? This is a commercial Banner Mauser with mismatched parts and assuming RC large serial number to stock. Usual lacquered finish. The barrel and receiver match with the commercial mauser proof marks however I can not recall or find what this stamp is. It appears to be a sun in a circle with the number 29 underneath.

A K-98k is not a Standard Mauser . A Standard Mauser could have been sold to China and that sounds like a Chinese stamp .

Sounds very much lika a Mauser sold to China. Could have either a prefix "C ...." or a Germanicon style suffix to the number ("..... c").
    Any pix or a serial???
