    Another Norwegian Krag project finished!

    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd post a couple of pics of another Norwegianicon Kragicon project I recently finished up. This in an 1894 Long Krag that was sporterized by having the stock cut back and the handguard removed. However, by some stroke of luck, the barrel with the front sight and bayonet lug was not altered. That made it a great candidate for a restoration.

I was fortunate enough to find a full length stock with handguard and a few other small items through various milsurp forums. The milsurp collectors everywhere are such a helpful bunch! It's a total mixmaster of parts but at least it's in its intended configuration. The Norwegian Krags are fairly scarce and you don't see many examples out in the wild so it was a worthy and fun project.
