This may be interested in watching a (free) 1943 docudrama called “School for Danger.” It is a rather accurate recreation of SOE training and activities, acting out, among others, by two of the actual SOE agents who served in France. The aircraft, buildings, weapons etc used in the film were real ones.
An interesting thing is that the name SOE was never mentioned, true to the secret nature of the SOE organization.
Here is the link.

Good...other than everyone carrying Sten guns. I'll bet your knees were singin' when you saw the landing swings and slides in the jump school. Balloon jumps, what fun. Straight down forever and then at the last minute opening shock.
A good film released in 1947. What we don't know is how much or how little SOE was infiltrated by the Germans, probably because information is still secret. Things did not go well for SOE in Holland because many agents were captured on or soon after arrival.
