Browning 1917 MG Third Generation M1A1 Steam Condensing Can

My weird collection just got weirder today. Spotted this in an antique flea market and after figuring out what it was decided I had to keep it. Now I have to find the matching machine gun. LOL. Not likely.

Third generation, late WWII in what appears to be unissued condition. Just storage marks and a little rust inside.

Don't tell the wife, she thought I was joking when I said I needed to find the gun now.

    BMG Model 1917A1

Really nice M1A1icon steam condensing kit you found, you know the US Army still used the Browning M1917A1 into the mid 1960's for overhead firing on the infiltration training at night during basic training. They finally replaced these old Browning water cooled M1917A1 with the M60 mg.

Years ago I did some wood repair on a friends Springfield 1903A1 and he gave me this WW1 Browning Model 1917 manual.

If you look-up the retail price of your M1A1icon steam can and hose, they sell for $299.95 others state to call for price.

    These are not cheap

I paid $130.00. Based the purchase on a $160.00 one I saw that sold years ago that was in worse condition. I saw the other prices after I got it home. I can find things on my computer I can't on my phone. They had it marked $145.00, I negotiated. They are getting big bucks online with missing caps.
