    AK Furniture

I been looking around here and didn't come across anything about this, but when people started to buy the AK before the ban and since it was built over there but when it was purchased here it was already Modified and Compliant. My question is will it still be if I put wood furniture replacing the black hardened polymer that's on it right now since it counted towards how many U.S. parts it needed to have on it ? I wanted to show it with the Wood I would like for it to have before I sell it, but for some reason I can't post pictures anymore and don't know why.

Unless a part is clearly marked as being "Made in" it is impossible to prove where it came from. Keep that in mind as others join the conversation.

I believe that furniture only counts as one part altogether also but others will weign in as well.

I was a bit confused by your post...are you looking for wood to replace your plastic? Also you mentioned "before you sell it" so are you selling the rifle or replacing the plastic furniture then selling that?

I have some furniture still lying around if you are interested in making up your own or refinishing it to have a certain look. Others will likely also have as well.

Here is a nice compliance checklist for the AK. (I studied up on 922r for my L1A1). Just read the instructions....all the boxes are checked, and you simply "un-check" your known uSA made/922R complint parts and the chart tells you your status.
    Hope it helps...

Thank You Very Much. That site covers alot. It has Saiga on it and the model # is IZ132L. I might have to change out another part to keep it in that Compliant number range at least that's what I read. Thank You Again

I could be way off but it was always my understanding that the 922 compliance was just for the importers, not the buyers once they purchase the firearms from The entity that had them imported. I own several ak's and have switched the furniture around on them before. Like I said, I could be way off and completely wrong but I always thought that only implied to the entity bringing them in from another country
