    German Hats (post war, Police/Fire/unknown)

I acquired a bunch of post war Germanicon hats. Looks like Police, Fire, Border guard, East and West German. Maybe some military. Is there some sources I could use to easily identify what something is? Is there anything here particularly valuable?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Look to see if any have a Nato Stock Number, a 13 digit number. If the 2nd block of 2 numbers is 12 it is West Germanicon military, prior to German unification, or if it was made after unification just German military.

The East German Army liked to stamp kit with "NVA" (Nationale Volksarmee) but these markings can be feint.

Just saw this post and can add this. The white ones are Poleizi. Each region has its crest as part of the emblem. Even the Post Office had fancy hates, but I don't remember what the symbol for the Post is. I spent time in Germanyicon with the Army in the late 80s. My father-in-law lived in Germany just after the war (his dad was Army) also. Ed spent almost 30 years in the Coral Gables Fire Dept in Florida and did a lot of traveling and hosting foreign visitors. He has quite the foreign fire helmet collection.
