The BAR guy, the only guy with the butt of his weapon in the mud. At least put it on your boot. I know it's a beast, but one takes care of his beast. He must be real tired.

They must be well clear of the front line and no fear of any jabo's to be lined up like that a schwarm of say FW-190's would cause some carnage with 2 x 7.9mm MG & 4 x 20mm on each plane, a brick house ain't much cover!

    A few WW2 BAR accessories

my photos show a few BAR accessories issue during WW2

First photo shows the Seymour case hardened follower, thought to improve feeding, became a spare part.

Re-issued WW1 magazine belt with steel cup removed and another pocket installed - very rare to find.

Also extremely rare is the Model 1918A1 bipod issued in 1937 and during the first part of the war.

BAR magazine loader using five round stripper clips

    rare BAR walnut butt stock

The Model 1918A1 BAR used a walnut butt stock with a butt plate with shoulder flap (like the 1918A2). Very difficult to find originals as all WW2 1918A2 butt stocks were plastic. Note it is not a modified 1918 stock but a new design
