Flak gun or repurposed tank gun? Muzzle brake on the barrel end has me intrigued.

It was about the only part of the Tiger I that could be reused without major hand-fitting.

Looks like a repurposed Tank mounted gun. The ground installation looks pretty permanent. Also looks like it was camouflaged as a haystack from the two screens next to the gun

You know, it just occurred to me that for an army that started the war by running around the end of fixed emplacements, they spend a lot of geld and time building fixed emplacements towards the end of the war.

Bob-- Its not just that if you think about the amount of money, efforts and blood to build the Atlantic Wall from Norwayicon to the Spanish border, Concrete bunkers, underground installations, massive flak towers is mind blowing. And most of them would never see a shot in anger.

The size of the spent shell case is massive and its not 2 piece ammunition as you can see a round in the crate, my guess judging by the mantlet it could have come from a Jagdpanther as that is the shape of their mantlet. They used the 8.8 cm Pak 43 anti-tank gun.
