    Indian Use of Vickers Berthier

I've seen information that India supposedly adopted the Vickers Berthier Mk III (Light Machine Gun) before World War II and seen some pictures of some production examples. I am interested in how widely they were actually used and adopted. I have not personally spotted any pictures of them in wartime use thus far, only Bren guns.

Does anyone have any further information or opinions on how widely they were used?

With all due respect to you, perhaps, you have miss-identified Vickers Berthier mg's in Indian army use as Brens?

That certainly could be, although half of my interest in this hobby is observing really OCD details.
Do you mean they were widely used?

Sorry, I also realized I was previously unclear. What I meant was the Vickers Berthier Mk III universally adopted in lieu of and in majority exclusion to the BREN gun in India through WWII?
(Setting aside the post war period and realignment of small arms choices in the Commonwealth from copious surplus)

One of the more prominent pictures I was thinking of was this one (although of course one picture does not a trend make):
