Mk II with a WS base?

    Hello,

Curious if anyone can ID this scope base found on a Mk II sitting in a US marked stock (no NY marks). This seems to be a different variant to what I've seen in photos used on the Mk III's although it has the same idea. It does seem like it would fit a WS musket sight though.

    Any ideas on its origins?

It does not look correct to me, screws much too small and finish looks new. Stop cut looks drilled and overall machining is very poor. Most possibly someone did a reproduction based on pictures and even used a wrong rifle.

It's very poorly done fake of a combination that never existed.

I would treat the seller's other listings with extra caution from now on.
