    I do know the difference between brass and copper, thank-you, and I am aware of the hardness of brass and copper in relation/comparison to other metals. I have worked in the metal working industry for many years.

    I had no idea about the metal mixture and I'm glad he posted it because I know zero about lanterns and am learning a little about them from this thread. I don't believe he meant anything condescending towards you about the hardness of brass or copper. Was just stating what he knows about them. The copper colored parts of the lantern I assumed was solid copper but now I know that it is an alloy with a copper color. Pretty interesting. It looks huge to me from the picture which is why I thought it would put out a ton of heat haha
