My AR is a dedicated.22lr build. The UK's legal requirements mean semi automatic is limited to a max of .22 WMR, so a build by Guncraft ltd is the way to go for me.
These are absolutely first rate quality builds.
My 'ideal', would be an AR15 HBAR build in 5.56mm, with a .22WMR bolt group and barrel, so I can swap between the two.
If that doesn't come off, then a Car15 build in .22WMR.

We've had 40c twice this year and in the 30's most days for weeks on end now....
The difference is you chaps have Aircon, we just can't get away from the bloody heat!
Roll on the Autumn I say ...

I haven't been shooting with my rifles since the end of May approximately.
The pit where we have the range is so outrageously hot, that I don't even dream of going there this year.
I'll catch up in autumn.
