Smile Finally A good sporting Ross !

Been down the road with two 1910 280s both had black hole bores.

Now finally a nice 1905 with an excellent bore, at a reasonably prices as well.

Now the fun part, no rear receiver ring make a scope tricky. Thinking in my stash of G&H mounts I might find something.

Take a peek, it will be up for a few more days.

    Smile Drill holes ???

It cost less than a new 700, of course I'm gonna.

Of course if that distresses you so much, I'll sell it to you for 2 grand.

    If I can't see, I can't shoot.

    I won't own a rifle I can't shoot.

The least you could do is use a peridd scope and mount.

This is a super rare Scotch Deer Stalker.

Drilling holes in that rifle would be criminal.

    Holes in Ross ?

It is not a Red Deer stalker, they had 28" bbls and were built on the M 10 action like this one.

G&H mounts go way back to 1932 and are period correct for an owner who wanted up upgrade so he could see.

It is definitely a a Scotch Deer stalker. They were built on modified 1905 actions.

Barrel length does not the determine the model of rifle.

The rifle in your picture is a regular M-10 sporting rifle.

    Archangel - Stock - Mosin-Nagant - ProMag Industries

Perhaps this company could make him a custom stock?

    No

    It's not a 1910, as the auction says, it's a 1905.
The 1910 had a rear receiver ring.
My Ross book and catalogues are in FL or I'd scan in pics.
