Wood profile around volley sight
Working on a No 1 Mk 1 restoration with a new piece of wood from prestigious. I don't have access to a pristine, or any, example of the type. I'll be starting the final shaping of the stock, and I'm wondering what the profile of the wood between the barrel band and the front volley sight should look like. I'm not getting great results from Google images, as most are only from one angle and edges sanded smooth.
I'm looking for what it should look like in factory new condition.
Is it supposed to be flat with a defined ridge running diagonally to the band, in a similar fashion to a long lee?
Is it just supposed to be flat in the path of the pointer, and edges contoured flat?
Is the profile the same as a No 1 Mk 3?
If there are different profiles, which is the most common?
Pictures of original unrefurbished Mk 1 and Mk 3 stocks will help the best.

Thank you, but not quite. I need the space between the barrel band and sight.
I should probably edit that.

This is what I'm looking for...
I can't draw worth s.
The top picture is an artistic representation of an artistic representation of a long lee volley sight.
The middle picture is like what white claw is to booze, but if it was a drawing of a sanded stock only cut in the radius, sanded.
The bottom picture that made anyone who can hold a pencil suddenly feel a disturbance in the force, is that same radius, cut sharply.
Realistically, I probably only have the equipment to cut it long lee style.
Would the handguard also be relieved to allow the pointer to travel?
