That's what I thought as well. That's why I'm confused if it a real deal or not. I know the mount is repro as I can't find any markings on it.

So the scope looks ok,, but Its hard to tell from one picture about the rifle itself. Also, I have never heard of a 1940 Izhevsk PEM sniper rifle. Tula was the only factory making them at the time. The Izhevsk PEMs were made in 1942.

Have the markings been scrubbed off the ocular (eye-end) housing?

If not, and if it's an original rig, it's a rare and expensive set.

Sorry no its not a hex receiver. I was accidentally looking at my new England 91/30 that is and said the pem was by accident.
