I know these have been around for awhile but they haven’t really been on my radar for some reason. Then I started looking at videos and reading about the K31 and decided I needed one for my collection. When I found out Centerfire systems had K31s for $399 it was time to get one. Then I saw a tiger striped example that I had to have it too. What a fantastic rifle!! Looking at the K11. Got some stripper clips. Ammo pouch. Ammo. Now I’ve got a proper addiction going on.

Top - pretty mixmaster with receiver and barrel matching from 1937. Magazine is also from 1937 but is 8000 numbers off. Beautiful Tiger-striped stock (photos don’t do it justice) is from 1942. Bolt is from 1947. Was rode hard and put up wet but I love it. Butt plate screws are frozen so cannot see if there is a tag in there yet - soaking with Kroil. Looks like a Swiss soldier regularly cleaned his muddy/snow encrusted boots with the butt.

Bottom - from Centerfire systems all matching from 1941 except magazine from 1944. Owned by a guy from Herisau Switzerland.

$400/USD for a K-31 man thats cheap over here they range from $1200/Aud up to $2,000 plus/Aud, they are very accurate rifles the only drawback is they chuck the brass a fair way backwards over ones head.
Good for you range pics of course.

Always amazes me how beautiful the K31 is from muzzle to the stock grip and then you meet all of the ugliness of the last 4 inches of the stock. The amount of damage must have been some type of badge of honor for the Swiss troops.

Cinders - I am sorry to hear that - these are great rifles but that’s alot of money. Will post range pics but I am looking for some GP11 for a decent price.

That is a great tiger stripe! I just have one with the beech and another with the walnut. The gun I really like is my G11. Old school but with the Swiss perfectionist touch.

I was lucky to find it. However, the damage done to the end of the butt stock is unbelievable.

It depends on how "deep' that discolouration goes.

Thank you for that great video. I love how Mark calls it a "conservation project." That is the best description for most of what I do and correctly describes the goal of the project.
