    Genuine Sling?

I am looking for your help. I picked up a series 34 Toyo Kogyo yesterday. I lucked out and it is an all-matching gun with a complete mum. The extra bonus may be the sling. It has an M1icon carbine sling attached that has obviously been on the rifle for a very long time. I am hoping it is an original so I can restore it and swap out the reproduction sling on my Standard Products rifle. Thanks!

Sling looks good to me, what does the inside of the female snap look like?

Definitely been on that Arisakaicon for awhile. There are no markings on it. Other than light brushing of the metallic and a light application of oil, any recommendations for rehabbing the webbing? Thanks!

That is all I do with my slings. I generally leave the webbing alone.

Looks like the genuine article to me too. I reinforce the worn area at the swivels with matching thread and "fill the gap" so the sling swivel has new thread to wear against. That preserves the original webbing.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
