Ross M10 Sporter Rear Sight

Looking for opinions for a rear sight for a M10 sporter. The barrel has been shortened and a rear sight with elevator has been mounted on the rear of the barrel. I don't like this current setup and would like to return to a peep sight.
The original Ross sight I find a bit bulkey and probably easy to snag in underbrush when hunting. Given that the rifle still has the original sight base are there options to mount a rear small peep that was made as an aftermarket option? Something similair to the simple low profile of a Lee Enfield No4 MK2 sight would be nice, maybe there is some kind of adapter kit available? I don't really want to start drilling and tapping holes!
Just checking to see if anybody might know if there is anything available.
