    Devine

Hey guys.. here is one of my “golden era,” M1a’s…

Devine,Texas rifle.. a lot of the @3k possible serial numbers were sold as bare receivers.. and of the Texas built rifles.. some have lost their original barrels.. was fortunate enough to find this one 6 years ago in a LGS

Looks like a brand new barrel, note the flashing along the cartridge guides at the breech. I doubt it's been shot at all. Nice rifle...

I have 2179 but the barrel is not marked. All GI parts. Maybe sold as a bare receiver?
Maybe just not marked? Any thoughts?

Bob, do you have any data on 00748 Devine? I think it was sold as a receiver.

    Devine M1A

Could be the one with X as a last digit. Note that these have three zeroes. "One" denotes a one-line address, "Engraved" denotes how it is marked.

My 2179 is actually 002179. I did not realize the 0's could make a difference
