    Snail mail

Well I guess I should have expected it, ordered a bit of cloth for a mate.
Could have driven down to Sydney and picked it up in a few hours, but no, I had faith in our postal service.
So using the mail tracker after the first week, I located it a state away in QLD. Bit off the beaten track as I am only a couple of hours north of where I sourced the item.

Now at the end of the second week and it's now at Chullora, the next suburb to where I got it from......they say I will get it in another week, maybe I should have had them send it to the end user, bit of a problem though...I have to sign for it.....it's not as if it were a bloody great parcel, it fits in an ordinary envelope....maybe they are just in Christmas post mode.

    Merry bloody christmas.

You may only be a couple of hours away from where you sourced your item but we're now in the 21st century and so you can't expect your mail to be sent directly from A to B.

You guys should try sending mail in this country. If it doesn't get lost it is stolen. Or ends up in a huge pile on a warehouse floor because the communist everything should be equal workers are striking for more pay.

As a comparison, I sent a volley sight and magazine cut off from NZicon to the UKicon back in 20 June 2021. Never turned up, I refunded the buyer and wrote it off. The buyer to his credit sent me a letter (forgot those things exist anymore!) to say it had arrived over a year later in July of 2022,. His letter from the UK to me took 1 month to get to NZ. The package still shows up as lost at Heathrow airport....

Good to know the Empire standard is being maintained.

Every tenth worker...yes, I think that would do it.

Waited 8 months for a book from Englandicon had actually given it up as lost as it was a rare title I most dearly wanted, it was at the right price due to the lack of research on the sellers behalf !
Lo and behold it turned up it had actually got off in South Africa sat there for a good while then resumed its journey!!!!

Lucky break. Normally the black hole just swallows stuff that comes that close.

I like the way you think

It is a pity that due to BEE we cannot get you in as a consultant. A lot of SAPO issues could have been solved.
