    AK47 Bayonet Trainer

I find some bizarre stuff while searching ebay. I don't even remember why this came up. It was rough but cheap but they didn't know what it was so I started researching and found nice condition ones for sale for less than the ebay one with a missing "magazine"

So I ordered one. Believed to be East Germanicon and obviously for bayonet training. They have more if interested.

My bayonet trainer came today. Looks to be unused. But, it has rust on the metal due to poor storage. Will likely clean off with no problem but I haven’t gotten that far yet. It is heavier than I wanted to see.

Well good luck with that part, show us when you're ready. You don't see many fencing muskets of any kind.

It actually came out ok. It was too heavy for steel wool but a wire brush took it off. I spent some time with it after I got home from rifle. The season started last week. Too dark for photos.

Before and after shots. The end looks so shiny because it was inside the spring attachment overnight and the oil is still wet. There is no pitting so to speak but there is some finish damage but all in all it still looks pretty good. The spring was not as bad as the "barrel".

Yeah the muzzle end looked pretty scary and that needed the wire brush, everywhere else was steel wool.

The company is good to work with. Shipped UPS, it came in a large box with crumpled paper packing in less than two weeks from placing the order.
