I use INR 3031 for both .43 Mauser & .43 Spanish. I've been told that Accurate 5744 works also. I use 5744 for 30/30 with cast bullets

    11E,

When I was a kid, all us boys had .43 rolling blocks. They load about the same as the 11mm Mauser and in fact you can make .43 Span. shells up from Mauser brass.

We bought a can of 3031 once and used it 'cause the Lyman book said you could. The RWS primers we used were able to light up maybe half of it.

Actually, the best smokeless powder we used was Unique. 15 grains of that sent a bullet downrange almost as fast as a full load of black powder and the RWS berdan primers lit it up really good.

For accuracy, fill the case up with cornmeal over the smokeless.

    good luck!

    jn
