Las Vegas, NV, USA, local Vintage Military Rifle shooting matches

I'm one of several dozen regulars who shoot three fun matches a month here, year round. If anyone is ever going to be in the Las Vegas, NV, area, you are very welcome to come shoot with us. If your travels bring you here without the ability to bring a rifle, please let me know! I'm sure we can find something you like in our collections.

Since these are local matches, and shot on steel targets (hit-or-miss), we just use as-issued rifles, and ball ammo is all you need to be competitive. If it's acceptable here, I'll keep the thread alive with match announcements, pics, and answering any questions.

1st Sunday is a long-range event, limited to WW2 and older guns, bolt or semi-auto. 200-1100 yards. Six 10-shot stages.
    2nd Saturday is ViMBAR.
    3rd Saturday is ViMSAR.

ViMBAR and ViMSAR are Vintage Military Bolt-Action or Semi-Auto Rifle matches, respectively, and rifles can be from 1965 and older (minimum 6.5mm). These are shorter range with most targets at 200-300 yards, some at 150, one at 400. Five 10-shot stages with 6-12 rounds from a vintage pistol, also.

Because there is no need for (nor allowed) match-grade guns, nor scoring rings on the targets, you can be just as competitive with nearly any qualifying rifle, so we try to rotate through our collections as best we can.

This Saturday is the ViMSAR. I've not yet decided what I'll shoot. My go-to when I just want to show up and clean house is a JRA clone M14icon made with an authentic Winchester receiver heel. But I've not shot my Swedishicon AG42B Ljungman in a few months, too.

Anyway, I've been meaning to post about these and seeing if there might be some of you out there near enough, now or in the future, to join us.
